Lanikai Point
Lanikai Point is where I shot this VR. From the Point, which is kind of the boundary line between Kailua and Lanikai beaches, we see Flat Island (Popoia Island). It is a bird sanctuary and a great place for kayakers, surfers, swimmers and boaters to relax and catch some sun. Green Turtles live and play in the waters around the island and on July 4th, Kailua celebrates with a fireworks display shot off from the island. It's all quite spectacular!
See if you can pick out two outrigger canoes paddling by.
This Vr was shot using a Kodak DC 50 digital camera on a Sunday morning about 10:30 a.m.
Lanikai is pronounced Lon-ee-Kie (like pie).
